![]() The two dumpees spend most of the film scheming and pining over relationships past, but along the way they form an unexpected friendship and have their fair share of sweet, earnest moments together. Rather than pull a classic rom-com move and pretend to date each other to make their exes jealous, Emma sets out to seduce Logan and Peter sets out to friendship-seduce Noah. That plan isn't what you'd initially expect. After a messy meet-cute, the two become a match made in misery and hatch a chaotic plan to sabotage their respective exes' new relationships and win them back. ![]() Credit: Courtesy of Amazon StudiosĪnne and Noah are clearly thriving in their new phases of life, while Peter and Emma are having emotional breakdowns at work. At age 32, she lacks direction and awkwardly lives with two college students. Meanwhile, Emma's boyfriend of more than a year, Noah (Scott Eastwood), claims she doesn't have her life together. She's tired of being with a dude whose ultimate night out is a Rod Stewart concert, and she goes on to find a new, exciting romance with the ridiculously sexy Logan (Manny Jacinto). In the middle of the 3rd episode, the main leads, barely knowing each other, have admitted out loud that they have feelings for each other, have hugged on multiple occasions, etc. After you get dumped, it's not uncommon to wallow in nostalgia or obsess over what could have been. what? They didn't show anything that would have lead up for that sort of confession.Īnother example of what I'm not looking for is: "either get out of my house or marry me." I was like. She was nursing the male lead after he was injured and they didn't have many scenes together before she was like. Also though the main leads love started a little bit later in "Eternal Love," I felt that it was very sudden for the female lead. but please warn me after you recommend them so I can watch them knowing they won't have a happy ending.ĭespite Scarlet Heart and Prince Lan Ling not having happy endings, I enjoyed them. ![]() I'm okay with recommendations for those without happy endings that have great romances throughout. Bonus points for an "enemies to lovers" romance. ![]() I want a slow going romance, with plenty of scenes that show the progression of the main protagonists love for each other.
